Why Reflect Heal Thrive?
I’ve learned the value of taking time to reflect—to understand myself, my relationships, and the patterns in my life. I want to help people heal from painful experiences and difficult relationships. And I find joy when people reach a place in life where they can thrive.
That’s where the name Reflect Heal Thrive comes from. It reflects what matters to me, both as a therapist and as a person.
Why I keep therapy affordable
At this stage of my career, I want therapy to be available to people who might otherwise feel they simply can’t afford it. I intentionally keep my fees low so cost can be less of a barrier to getting help.
Sessions are $65 for 50 minutes. Payment processing fees are included. This is a self-pay practice; I do not accept insurance.
Life experience that shapes my work
I’ve been married for 40 years and am a father and grandfather. Family life has deepened my appreciation for the joy of connection, the effort marriage takes, and the challenges that can come with caring for the people we love.
My life and work have provided me with experiences on topics including adoption, raising children with special needs, and navigating the pressures of marriage, finances, and everyday struggles. These experiences shape the way I listen. I respect how much people may be carrying, even when it isn’t obvious to others.
I know that life’s struggles rarely fit into neat categories. A financial worry can affect a marriage; a child’s needs can affect the whole family. In therapy, I make room for the larger picture of your life, as well as the concern that brought you here.
Experience across different settings
Over my 30 years in the field I have worked in a variety of professional settings, including private clinics, treatment centers, advocacy centers, and government agencies. I have worked with children, youth, young adults, people of various faiths, nationalities and cultures. I have a very broad range of professional experience that adds depth to my work as a clinician.
I bring both professional experience and lessons from my own life to our conversations. I also know that your story is your own. My role is to understand what matters to you and help you find steps that fit your relationships, responsibilities, and circumstances.
If faith is an important part of your life, I can work from a faith-sensitive perspective when you want that included. Our work will be guided by your beliefs, values, and goals.
Healing is a journey. Therapy can give you a safe space to walk that journey.
